Nestled in the heart of Japan, in the city of Higashiomi (formerly Yokaichi), DEC has been teaching  conversational English to the residents of Yokaichi/Higashiomi and it's surrounding areas since 1993. In 2003, we expanded operations to Canada, providing students with opportunities for travel, sightseeing and learning. Since 2009, we have broadened our scope to include publishing, offering up ways for teachers, authors and schools to create their own materials in a digital format.

DEC offers professional language training, utitlizing all of the tools available.  Long known for incorporating the newest tools and techniques into the classroom, DEC has gone so far as to open a publishing wing.

DECC (DEC Canada) was established to provide foreign (mainly Japanese) students with an opportunity to study abroad, & experience life in a small town in Canada.  All trips are custom made for the individual or grooup.

Gan Bokumetsu Cancer Walk
DEC is a proud initiator and sponsor of the Gan Bokumetsu Cancer Walk. Each year, this Walk is held in Higashiomi, with students and staff out in full force. What began as an homage to Terry Fox, and the Terry Fox Run, has evolved into a locally-formed, grass-roots effort to eradicate cancer.
